Attendance Alan supporting PC Bowler and Community Warden Peter Gill!
Attendance Alan has been out with PC Bowler and Community Warden Gill helping to ensure road safety by Eastry Primary School. Their presence has been to educate drivers about where to safely park for the benefit of the children. They enjoyed meeting parents, children as well as Attendance Alan!
Celebrating Epiphany
The children in Year 3 & 4 attended our Epiphany Service this morning at St. Mary's Church, Eastry. where the children learned about how the star led the Three Kings to Bethlehem to visit baby Jesus.
We Will Remember Them
Today is a very special day when we take time to remember those we have lost in conflict and peace time particular those serving in the armed forces. The children have all made poppies in the class which are displayed in the reception area.
Lil' Jockey's Visit to School
KS1 were very excited to have Lil's Jockeys visit the school today. All the children had an amazing time at their alternative sports morning. Please check your child's Classdojo to see the children in action!
Harvest Festival - 29th September 2023
Today we celebrate and gave thanks during our Harvest Festival. The whole school attended the service at St. Mary's Church, Eastry led by Canon Paul Kerr. Each class performed during the service, some singing and others reading poems. Thank you for your kind donations which are very gratefully received and will be donated to the Deal Area Foodbank.
RNLI Visit
Today we had a visit from the RNLI to talk to the children around safety when in the water. The children took part in some fun and informative sessions teaching them what to do if they ever find themselves in difficulty when in the water.
Proms on the Playground
Today we celebrated our second Proms on the Playground. Every class took part with a variety of different acts including singing, trumpet playing and the Maypole.
Our first School's Sunday
On Palm Sunday we me held our first Schools Sunday. Children helped to lead the service telling the gospel story, chose the songs (teaching them to the congregation) and led the prayers. It was such a joyful occasion and lovely to have so many families join us. We all enjoyed Rev. Andrew dressed as a donkey!
Our Easter Service
We enjoyed our Easter service at the church led by Rev Andrew, year 1 led us on song, year 4 shared a poem and year 2 shared a prayer. We all enjoyed celebrating together.
The Great Big Dance Off Competition
Our amazing dance troop who took part in The Great Big Dane Off in Chatham. They were amazing and worked so hard for months perfecting their routine - Eastry school is very proud of you.
Celebrating World Book Day
Today we celebrated World Book Day. Children and teachers were invited to come to school dressed as an animal from one of their favourite books. We enjoy lots of fun activities including reading with our buddies, book swaps, writing book reviews and we even had some of our parents visit to read to the class.
Welcome Starfish Malawi
Today we welcomed Cathy from Starfish Malawi. She spoke to us about the charity and what life is like in Malawi. We can’t wait to support this charity further and develop more links with our partner school in Kaphatenga.
