Our Tribute on Remembrance Day
Today we attended the community remembrance on the parade. Our year 6 representatives showed our school value of respect. We then went to lay our wreath at the war memorial in the churchyard. In school we have been thinking about remembrance in worship and fledglings and forest schoolers have made poppies.
Alternative Sports Day 2025
What a wonderful day keeping fit and active for Years 1 to 6. We went around in circuit to complete several boxercise activities and then finished up with a skipping competition. Children also took part in Archery on the school field {gallery:Boxercise 2025}
Harvest Festival
Thank you for all those who could join us at today’s Harvest Festival and for you very generous donations which have already been collected by the Deal Area Foodbank who have asked us to pass on their sincere thanks.
Matilda! Performed by Year 6
14/7/25: Year 6 production of Matilda. We were wowed by our Year 6 children version of Matilda! They showed our school value of resilience learning their parts and compassion when supporting each other. The younger years were inspired. A wonderful way to finish their time at Eastry
Visit by Kent Police as part of our Love Your Community Week
As part of the love your community week we were lucky enough to have Kent police visit us and share some of their important work supporting the community. This inspired lots of children- certainly increasing aspirations!
Love Your Community Week
In partnership with Kent Police we joined the 'Love your community week' as a school we took part in the launch event building relationships with other community groups, held a community concert with handmade refreshments and a litter pick! A wonderful way to celebrate our school value of community.
Rocksteady Music
We were so excited to welcome Rocksteady music who helped us create a school band and a teacher band. It was great to listen to their live performance and take part too!
Inspire Day - Pride
To celebrate pride month we held an inspire day, looking at why pride month is important, the history of pride and how we can promote inclusion in our school and community, demonstrating our school value of respect.
Sports Day
Our annual sports day was a great success, and we thank the parents, carers and families for supporting us. The children showed resilience in their races and compassion and respect to each other. It was a wonderful community day; we were so thankful to Sandwich Technology School PE leaders for helping the day run smoothly.
Yoga Mindfulness
Miss Leishman kindly arranged a yoga workshop for some of the children. They practiced how to use yoga to help calm their bodies and minds.
Celebrating Pentecost at St. Mary's Church
To celebrate Pentecost the some of our children helped to lead the service at St Mary's church. A real community event.
Proms on the Playground
Our annual proms of the playground was met with much excitement from children and families. Each class performed as well as our singing and cheerleading group.
