Celebrating World Book Day
The children had great fun dressing up as their favourite character or in pyjamas for a bedtime story when we celebrated World Book Day on Friday, 7th March. The school took part in lots of reading related activities and could choose which class to visit to listen to a story read by the class teacher.
PTFA Wonder Bar Event!
Oompa Loompas (aka PTFA) and Willy Wonka (Mrs Moss) took over the school playground, selling Wonder Bards with some lucky children being golden ticket winners.
Shrove Tuesday's Pancake Races!
We celebrated pancake day, Shrove Tuesday, by having pancake races at lunch time. The peer mentors helped to run the infant races. In worship we've been thinking about what temps us and how at lent we can choose to give some up or try something new.
Visit from the Dogs Trust
We welcomed Phil from the Dogs Trust who taught us all how to stay safe and be kind around dogs. The children thoroughly enjoyed the assembly and workshops.
Professional Violinist Visits the School
Ruth Palmer, professional violinist came to perform to us, we also sang and tried to match the pitch of different notes.
Our Amazing Dance Group
A group of children across Year 3 to 6 took part in the Great British Dance Off. They have been practising hard for 2 months and blew us away with their performance. They did very well being placed 8th! They've really shown our school value of resilience! Thank you too to our dancing queens Miss Leishman and Mrs Wood for arranging this fantastic opportunity.
