We had an amazing day taking part in a Stone Age Workshop at Kent Life today and would like to share some photo's of the day with you.

Year 2 writing our own version of Jim and the beanstalk.

We have been conducting market research and tasting cakes to see which was our favourite and which we will be making next week for our picnic. We have been looking at writing instructions and we will use these skills to help us when making the cakes.

As part of our under the sea topic, we had a very fishy afternoon in fledglings class! Some of us volunteered to touch something hidden under a box, and tried to describe to our friends what it felt like....wet, gooey and slimy were the words we came up with! Then Miss Riggs took the lid off and…

Today we visited 'Safety in Action 2022' run by Kent Police.

In Term 5 we have been learning the Ukulele with our a music teacher who has been visiting the school.

In art we created some Woolly Mammoth which also links to our Stone Age topic.

Year 5 – planting pumpkin seeds ready for Halloween. They also planted seed bombs to try and grow a meadow habitat for the insects.

Year 6 – planted sunflower seeds – a legacy to be passed onto the rest of the school as we will harvest the seeds and use them with next year’s year 6
