Last week was anti-bullying week. Every day in worship we were thinking about what makes a good friend and how, as a school, we need to be united against bullying. The children have shared some wonderful reflections with me and linked these to our school values. I have to say some of the comments have inspired me!
They've included "Joy is having a friend to play with"
"compassion is knowing that everyone deserves to be included and cared for."
"you don't have to agree with everyone, you just have to respect them"
" we welcome everyone at Eastry"
"it's not always easy being a good friend, it's not always easy doing the right thing but you mustn't give up".
Such wise thoughts from our children. If we hold true to these thoughts then we've a school full of world changers!
