Year 3 Tigers have had a great day dressing up as heroes and villains!

We have participated in hero and villain camp and have taken part in tests of agility, intelligence, bravery and accuracy as well as the test of physical strength and endurance!

At Forest School we continued our learning about the Vikings by whittling our very own Viking swords.

Pupils have been putting their learning about food chains to create their own food chains and webs. Children considered what to put as their producers before carefully considering the consumers including herbivores, carnivores and omnivores that would create their food chain and show the transfer…

This week we have been learning the story 'The Gruffalo'! The Koala's have loved re-telling it and today we had a trip to the 'theatre' and got to watch groups perform the story! They were all incredible and loved playing their parts.

During term 1, Panda class have enjoyed 6 weeks of cricket with the wonderful coach (Molly) from A Chance to Shine. 
The children have practised their fielding, batting and bowling skills alongside working collaboratively in game scenarios.

In Forest School we continued learning about Egypt by building some of our own Egyptian objects.

Today in Forest school we continued to learn how to safely light a fire.

Our big question in RE was Who made the world, we discussed the creation story and why it is important to rest.

In Koala class, we have been learning about Andy Goldsworthy who creates sculptures out of natural materials. We then planned and created our own inspired by him!

During Science lessons this week, the children have been investigating shadows. They drew around their friend's shadow at different points during the day and observed how the shadow changed length and position. 

Mysteriously, some children (in year 5) spotted an alien and reported hearing and seeing strange things. They were so inspired and amazed they then wrote a recount of events in the style of a report. Here are some of their recounts after the children have practised their editing skills.
