We have used clay to mould and sculpt our own Pompeii ash victims.

They are pretty amazing, I think!

This term we baked gingerbread men ... that escaped to the Forest School area - maybe they didn't want to be eaten!

We have kicked off our term 3, year 5 Maths using manipulatives. Our focus is long multiplication and the children have used dienes and place value counters in an area model to help their deeper understanding. We are now securing our understanding on using the column method.  

These are pictures from our latest PE lesson where children were learning a new dance routine for 'Run Run Rudolph'. They learnt a new routine from scratch and the finished routine included cartwheels and a variety of catwallk poses!

Thankfully the rain stopped just as we went out to Forest school today and we were able to enjoy some mud sliding, as well as beginning some Christmas crafts. Thank you for kitting the children out with wellies, it is so helpful.

We made soup and invited our parents/carers in for a taste!
